Alan, 

No, the cockpit drain is just aft of the foam.  Look into the lazarrette and
you'll see it.  Big hose with a slight 's' bend in it.  That is one that
should be double clamped, if you can get 2 clamps on it.  The through-hull
is usually below waterline.

The hose that drains form the cockpit floor is it not surrounded by foam?
