Karl,
Read the fine print and multiple meanings. Stan does what are
called recycled boats. Where he buys back used boats and depending on
condition rebuilds them. Have you given Stan your budget?
Stan also brokers used Rhodes 22's. Those are generally of two
types. First where the seller wants more for the boat than Stan can make
any money off it recycling or the boat is pre mid 1980's where Stan did not
control all of the manufacture of the hull's.
In regards to Rhodes 22's for sale on this list or anywhere else for
that matter, you will occasionally find one. Some years there are more than
others. Most often, but not always you find project boats. Ask Lou about
his low budget project. Now that he worked himself into expert boat
rebuilder status, maybe he will open his own boat reconditioning business in
of all places, Brooklyn, New York.
In your brief replies to this list, you have not let the cat out of
the bag regarding how much you are willing to spend, other than a sharp
retort to the cost of a new boat. Furthermore, you have not clued us in as
to your experience either in sailing or rebuilding boats.
So you moved to Connecticut and want to go sailing?
