[Rhodes22-list] Tiller Auto Pilot Question(s)

Art,
It wasn't the ST1000 autopilot that I found for $300, but the wireless
remote.  The cheapest that I have found the ST1000 is around $387 - $395;
with shipping it is around $400 - $410. You can google it and find vendors
like Defender and Onlinemarine that have pretty good prices. I've been
checking eBay, but there seem to be very few used tiller pilots on the
market and those that are out there are selling for more than I would be
willing to pay for a used one.

Bill,
Where did you find the ST1000 autopilot at $300?

Bob,
I guess I'll just have to wait until the wireless remotes drop in price.
The cheapest I have been able to find one is $300.

Bill,
The remote is really not that valuable on a small boat like ours. Just
another gadget to mess around with. Of course, I like mine when it's
raining because I can steer from inside the cabin!
