There are several other similar directories.

Most hotels seem to be free, airports usually charge. I believe  
Starbucks are free now.
For your home, you need to buy an airport base station or any other  
wireless access point that you then hook into your wired network. One  
base station will usually cover your home and at least part of your  
yard. It will handle several computer connections at once. Be sure to  
turn on the password protection so Bill's wife can't use it. :)
