Saroj,
Everything you said was exactly what I was thinking. So I assume that
everything is easily fixable. All I need to do is put in some hard work.
Thanks
Alan

Alan, so sorry for your predicament... this has happened to me as well in
the past... usually the result of leaves clogging the scuppers. The water
from
rain then accumulates on the benches and drains into the lazarette and then
into the cabin. It has caused some damage to the floor and other wooden
parts of the cabin. I also have a slight problem with leaky port lights,
however it sounds like you corrected that problem.

I don't really know the answer to this other than using a tarp to keep the
water off the benches (drapped over the boom or other device to maintain a
peak).

It will take a while to get the boat to dry out completely... My experienced

was that even after I got the bilge dry, water accumulated at a steady rate
over the next few days. I'm convinced it had been sucked up into the foam
or whereever and leached out over time...

Good luck with the clean up.

Saroj
