[Rhodes22-list] An inconvenient reality.

Brad, Rummy and all

I'm gonna' stick a theory in here just for the heck of it.

To every thing there is a season.......

Rabbit populations run in cycles, 'round here ruffed grouse too is an
obvious one. I expect most other species of animal are the same. They
increase in number in an area 'til there is not enough food/resources to
support them anymore ....... then they either leave, or die. after a
time the food comes back and eventually the population starts to rise
again, starting the cycle all over again.

Back in the sixties I used to hear people talking about population
control all the time. Now, you rarely hear it brought up. The human
population on our planet surpassed 6,000,000,000 this last winter Yeah,
billion with a B. 9,000,000,000 isn't that far off.

I don't believe this planet was meant to support 6 billion people for
any length of time ..... let alone 9.

So, distasteful as it may be to some, unless we figure out a way to have
a smaller population, we are likely to go the way of the rabbit and the
grouse.

Maybe we ought to be looking at the real root of our problems.

food for thought
