All this discussion about the Boom Room has used a number of terms. Here
are some sources of definitions:

pte see: http://www.aboutconstruction.org/Plastics.php

Stainless Steel Substitutes:
http://www.machinist-materials.com/comparison_table_for_plastics.htm

Marine terminology related to masts and spars:
http://www.dwyermast.com/sparterms.asp

Plastics used in marine applications: http://www.tacomaplastics.com/

MJM's carbon fiber reference: http://fibraplex.com/tentpoles.htm

All this with technical stuff without Roger's technical input.

I would consider the image that Dave Bradley suggested as Stan's yoke to be
made of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE). A reference suggested by Todd T
is: http://www.mcmaster.com/ Do see Plastic Material Comparisons at:
http://www.mcmaster.com/ , next using search function, type in plastics,
then under shapes select first item, Sheets, Bars, Strips, and Cubes then
scroll down to terms and descriptions. After reading this, you be informed.
Thank you Todd T.
