[Rhodes22-list] Boom Room Review

Stan likes Slim's design--the whole cockpit plus cabin enclosure, going
forward of the mast.

People who already own PTEs seem to favor Art's design, which covers
just the cockpit, and connects to the Pop Top, with or without the
enclosure depending on what it is to be used for.

Both have removable panels.

Slim's design would cost less for the entire shooting match.

Art's design is easier to put up, doesn't block forward access, and can
be built out of top quality materials for roughly $1,000. It should be
possible to modify Art's design so it extends over the cabin, but this
would add cost without providing owners of PTEs any additional benefits
(that I can see.)

What do you think?

BTW -- do you have a boom room on the Seward? If I understand Art's
design, it could be modified for other high-boomed boats.
