  I haven't been there since the mid 80's,but as I recall,It's about 22mi.
long,man made(they built a dam and flooded the hollar) so the width
varies.The day I tried sailing there was windless.( I hauled my 11ft Sea
Snark,strapped to the top of a motorcycle camping trailer,with my 83
goldwing) The next day I rented a ski boat with a bunch of friends,jumped in
the water and lost my wallet. Two weeks later I got a package in the mail
with my wallet in it. It seems that the only thing a fisherman caught on his
latest outing was my wallet.
