[Rhodes22-list] GPS and Depth Finder

Mark - I'm in sync with Mary Lou - a depth sounder has really helped us in  
sailing our shoal waters behind  Avalon - I have experienced the  
centerboard/sounder syndrome on occasion and much prefer to keep a close eye on  my depth 
sounder when approaching the shallows.  As to the GPS, I use a  handheld 
Magellen (no color, no chartplotter) in conjunction with paper charts  and find the 
combination to be all I need.
