No, this is a consequence of believing a Time article.  The  article may or 
may not have accurately represented what bin Laden said (and  that's 
problematic), but to expect that what bin Laden said is what he really  thinks is more 
than a reach.  If you were bin Laden, would you be revealing  your innermost 
thoughts and concerns to the American people, or would you use  the opportunity 
as a platform to spread a divisive message?
