[Rhodes22-list] Sailing Technique Question - Resheeting Jiband Heaving To

Personally, aside from man-overboard maneuvers, I think heaving-to is the 
next most useful "emergency" skill you can have.  I've been in a churning, 
blowing Lake Michigan, with the boat in complete calm in a heave-to.  Gives 
you time to fix stuff, regain your cool, have refreshments, go to the loo... 
however you will drift so be aware of other boats and obstacles around you.

Speaking of emergency procedures, Lyn and Larry Pardey have a good video on 
handling severe weather in a small craft (or any craft I suppose).
