The dog does remarkably well aboard.  Normally he wears a PFD while under
way but it was such a calm, steady breeze we weren't too worried.  He likes
the boat a lot and has done several overnights already this year.  He's only
one year old--this is his second sailing season.  When we're at anchor or
motoring flat he's free to walk all around.  And calm sailing too as you can
see in the picture.  If we're rocking and rolling he's tethered.  But truth
be told, I'm not that worried about him going overboard on a nice day on
Lake Minnetonka.  I doubt anything bad would happen.  In fact it might teach
him a lesson.  8-)  Lake Superior, however, is another matter.  More safety
is necessary.
