[Rhodes22-list]Rhodes sub-forums

Mark,
with the forum you would still receive and read the posting in the
exact same way - that does not change.
You receive a message and file it how ever you would like using your own
system. Replying to a message
works exactly the same as well, all the replys will end up under the
right sub-forum.

The main difference is when you start a new topic (called a thread), I
recommend you start the thread on
the nabble Rhodes page in the appropriate sub-forum. Then the all the
posting on the topic of say "Bilge"
would all stay nice and neat in that forum. So, next season when someone
wants information on Bilges,
they simply read or search all messages in the Rhodes Bilge forum.

I recommend the use of sub-forums, but I don't know the right number or
the best structure to organize it.

I use aol's online service, where I can create as many subfolders as I want. And it seems the list of subtopics could be quite broad ... which would make navigating the discussions that much more difficult. Also, it seems many discussions start on one topic and migrate to something entirely different. How would you handle that?
