Wally,
        Not having read any other's comments, I vote for option #3.  I did
just that for many years  (15).  The few times I needed a tow vehicle they
were eargerly offered to me by former sailing guest (not it didn't hurt to
know what kind of tow vehicle they had befor inviting them sailing).  Don't
forget you end up with a spiffy clean and fixed up boat plus you will not be
paying the insurance on that extra vehicle!  I think you will get more
sailing in this way than any other way.  And, your uncle would appreciate it
if you "excercised" his Pearson from time to time.
