Bob,
May I encourage you to explore the following web sites in detail:
     1. Commodore Stanley Spitzers official web site: http://rhodes22.com
     2. This site, http://rhodes22.org and follow all the hot keys to all
the detail information. This is not only an email hosting site, but
importantly, a picture and document archival site. There is more
information contained therein than you could imagine.
     3. If you want to follow the emails back by thread, topic, author,
you can also use this site:
http://www.nabble.com/Rhodes22-f14229.html
     4. You may have noticed Captain to be Collins requesting Mary Lou to
repost some information that she posted in the past. If by chance you want
to find a recent post or a post on a specific topic then you can research
the archives. There are seach tools available to those interested enough
to do some work.
     5. Keep in mind you can always view this list directly on the WEB.
Just go to:
http://www.rhodes22.org/pipermail/rhodes22-list/ For some this is much
faster than downing emails intermittantly during the day when they would
fill the mail box. In order to reply to the list after viewing on the WEB
go to the nabble site cited above and find email you want to reply to and
hit reply. This method allows you to reply directly to that email and
offers the receiver the opportunity to check the previous email to see what
you are replying to. This system was set up by your host the illustrious
computer wizard, Michael Meltzer of NYC.
     6. Now to your question of new versus recycle versus used versus
project boat. Project boats are a special challange for special people.
They require a lot of time and work. Used boats in good condition
occassionally come on the market. If they are priced fairly, they only are
on the market a day or two. If they are priced what the seller thinks they
are worth, it takes longer. In both cases they do not offer any guarentee.
Stan offers new boats custom made to your spec's. These are
usually take at least six months to a year to build. He offers recycled
hulls subject to availablity. A recycled can cost more than a new boat if
it was made with all the bells, electronics and gadgets. However, delivery
can be quicker than new.
     7. When viewing this list, keep in mind that the subject line does
not always reflect the subject. In fact, some subject lines are 100%
wrong. Also, someone in the recent past told how to use Google to search
the archives. Unfortunately, I did not save that post.
     8. Again, feel free to post your questions to the list.
