Where you are correct it is a little "extreme", a tape measure over the
side will due, the CG petty officer does not care or would be impressed,
beside the form round to the inch.

     Michael:

I know that you do not want to use this method in obtaining the
information
that you need, however.

Recently Stan had new molds made for the Rhodes 22. The new boats
being
today are being made from the new molds. Even with the best of care, mold
have limited production runs. And Stan does not say it too loud, about the
lack of care the last molds had.

His new molds were generated by a computer that made a plug, etc.
The
program that generated the new plugs were made from precise measurements of
hulls that Stan had in the plant at that time and with updates that Stan
wanted. So, precise and exact measurements were obtained of the entire hull
were obtained to generate the plug. I suspect that those measurements are
in still in that guys notes. Call and ask Stan if you can call that guy for
the information. I forget his name, but his office at that time was about
two miles down the road from the plant. Or just ask Rose who he is, she has
a special peeve with him and knows him well. You could impress the Coast
Guard with measurements accurate to the third decimal.
