It got out of hand 27 years ago and I haven't been able to get a handle on
it since.

Anyway, the first comment out of her mouth when I first told her about the
R22 was, "What do you need with a boat?"  and then, "I'm not going on your
boat!"  Now she says, "We're buying a NEW boat and when are we going out
again?"

There are worse things.

Gee Philip, whose boat is this anyway? Who's going to do all the
maintenance? Who's going to do all the cleaning? You need to inform your
wife  that this
is your boat, not hers and stop letting her make all these decisions.  Stand
up tall and be a real man and deal with this before it gets out of  hand.
