Actually, BOTH parties were vying for MSP as their convention site but the
Rs were quicker on the trigger.  They, the Rs, actually think that Minnesota
is up for grabs.  After all, we do have a R governor.  But we don't have
enough hotel rooms for the 30,000+ expected to show up so palms are going to
have to be greased somewhere.  I'm not saying the Dems don't resort to
payola too--they're politicians--that's what they do.  It just seems most of
the indictments are on the R side.  Maybe they just get caught more often,
poor sots.  Wait...did I say "poor?"  More like "pour" as in go ahead and
pour that dough into Minneapolis.  I'll be waiting.
