[Rhodes22-list] For John Lock's Eyes

john..
in mine there was indeed a square plastic dome light there with a built in
switch... the voltage was a bit intermittent (the old wiring i believe... i
have disconnected since, but i think the wires went back and tied into the
power/ground wires behind the starboard sidelight.... pulling off the
sidelight revealed the splices. the wires to the light are sealed in foam
above the liner so i don't think there is much you can do to replace them.

I am being a rebel and replacing my aged opening front ports with new
opening front ports... i believe it was rummy that is a firm believer in
the opening ports there.. install them correctly and treat them well and
they should be fine. Put a bucket under them to open if they have water in
them. I also saw a post that seemed to indicate a bit of carefully placed
"wicking" material draped on the outside of the port can quickly "self" wick
water out of the ports when they do collect water.
