jay,
sounds like a plan. we always did like september and the off season. when you have kids inseason vacations are the norm. ours are grown now so we are back to the way we used to vacation before starting our family. i surf fish and the fishing is better in the fall, too. i'll see what i can do to get you out of chores. ;-)

  John,

You're on, barring my gf's weekend scheduling of my time. We should
be able to have some time on the water, maybe a couple other Rhodies
around. I'm sure it's no accident picking that time, as you're aware
September to October is about the best possible time here. Water
temps stay warm (70's), cool air with stiff(er) winds, and most have
of the hordes (100K+) have left. The big exception is Chowderfest on
Sept. 29 & 30, when they return, but not much traffic on the water.
Boat is slipped in Beach Haven, at Mordecai Island, at Little Egg
Harbor, 4 miles north of Inlet.

Hope it works.
Jay
