[Rhodes22-list] Bill's Bilge Pump Puzzle

ok i guess i have to be more specific. i saw a recent program, that analyzed the sighting technique used by the osprey to keep its prey in sight continuously thru the dive. it has eyes that do not see forward but to the side with a level of peripheral vision straight ahead. this is not accurate enough in a straight down dive so to compensate it locks on with one eye and spiral dives. pretty neat.
p.s. i guess we all find things out the first time we have to use them. to coin a phrase: "doh!!"

You'll realize the problem immediately the first time you use
it. You either have to find a way to fasten the outlet tube in place
(by tieing it to something) or use a longer tube. I don't think it
matters if you go over the transom or the side.

Yes, I grew up watching ospreys on the Delaware river in upstate
NY. Now, 40 years later, I'm still watch them on Lake Sinclair. You
may have missed the name announcement on the list a while back -

"My recently acquired R22 has just received her name - "Pandion",
after the Ospreys that frequent our lake (Pandion haliaetus). Like
her namesake, she is swift, graceful, and dependent on wind and
water. Perfect!"

Cheers!
