I would look at finely woven fiberglass about one inch thick with a metal
foil backing.  It should pass FAA muster.  It is the stuff that high end
speakers used to use to absorb and baffle noise.  It used to come in sheets
that were shapeable with scissors.  I would use some sort of sound baffle,
you are not driving an old dump truck.

You have apologized, however, Michael M would does not use the language that
you posted.  Michael W’s response was laudable and tomorrow after some has
passed, go back and reread his post and Hank’s follow up.
