There is a suppler of parts of whom Stan and Elton are aware of who has
parts to change a Tohatsu to remote where the listed price of the parts is
about $220.  That is the major parts, not possible nut, bolt, backing plate,
etc.  I doubt that any honest mechanic would need 4 hours to install or if
it takes 4 hours would charge the amount suggested in a previous post.  So,
others estimates as to the cost just might not be accurate.

If you want remote, get it.  If you want honest installation, have Stan do
it or a shade tree mechanic who has a street reputation for honesty.  I
guarentee it doable for a reasonable amount.
