[Rhodes22-list] Don't Piss Off Engineers

Let e = 2.7182818284590452353602875

The sum of 1/2^n where n = 1..+infinity is just shy of 1,

so the we'll assume the +.002 should round that to 1.0
(the "assume" is the engineer's version).

remember that
   PI = 3.1415926535897932384626433832795
   i  = the imaginary value SQRT( -1 )

then e ^( i * PI) = -1 (see Euler's Equation )

thus, -1 + (almost) 1 + 0.002  should be about zero.

Once upon a time there was a case where someone owed zero
dollars to some company, they didn't stop getting nasty
grahms until they wrote a check for $0.00 (but then I hear
this story when I was only knee high to a grasshopper, so I
doubt this is the check).

BTW, does anyone know the difference between an Engineer,
and a Physicist?

The Physicist calims that E = mc^2

The Engineer knows that E = mc^2 +/- 3 db

:-)

Is everyone ready to do their taxes now?????
