My '99 E-250 (with 7-bolt wheels) had a cruise control added later, I  
think, but before I bought it.  I works OK but the mount has always  
been loose.  The "set" button on the end of the arm works but you have  
to push and hold hard.  But it will also set by using the "resume" when  
you twist the end of the controller.  But when you twist it, the whole  
arm twists with it unless you have the manual dexterity of say, a  
pianist who can twist the knob with 3 fingers while holding the rest in  
place  with the other 3 fingers.

Ed, just order a sixth finger and your problems are over.
