[Rhodes22-list] Italy - Rendezvous

With all the Italy trips we are looking at late Sept &
onward.... 
Late Sept is pushing it as we are just now determining
dates for our Italy trip. But that may work.

Boat Show Weekend (Columbus Day weekend) I am
committed to assisting with the Turkey Shoot Regatta
which is a benefit regatta held on the Rappahannock.
(Anyone interested in racing? Only criteria is that
the boat be either 25 years old OR from a 25-year-old
design. R-22 qualifies....)

There are many beautiful schooners and older wooden
boats; one year we had one or two skipjacks. We also
have quite a turnout..even last year when Ernesto blew
through.

BUT...having our Rendezvous after the Regatta... maybe
 Sunday-Monday? would also have an additional
benefit....Y'all know Peggie Hall..the Head
Mistress..princess of poop & all things marine
sanitation? (www.sailboatowners.com). She'll be here
for the weekend at the boat show & an owner's meeting
in Solomons & then to visit & sail with me for a day
or two at the beginning of that week......She would be
a fun addition...anyone having 'issues'..to put it
delicately? ;^)

I think this needs some serious looking-at...let's
make it work!
