Jim,

Good one. I made the "ask the Captain a question" seminar yesterday, the
last day on the boat ,and asked him what human factors - CRM training they
went through and how often he used his conflict resolution skills with the
crew on a daily basis given there were 63 nationalities on board. He gave a
very thoughtful answer and said the United Nations should go cruising and
see how well they operate. This was only our second cruise so we don't have
a lot of experience to speak from, but Royal Caribbean is far better than
Carnival by a wide margin. We're in Vancouver (Hongcouver) visiting with a
classmate of Fan's and will get back to the real world tomorrow. It's hard
to believe but the world seemed to work just fine without me worrying about
it and solving problems. Go figure!

Brad
