Sorry Ed.  I missed a question.
   
  I plan to be doing a lot of my sailing on the Snake River that borders Washington and Idaho at the South Eastern corner of Washington.  That location is 35 minutes from my home, and it involves a drop of 1500 hundred ft in elevation, so I have a hill with a 7 degree incline to climb on my way home.  There are many other location on the Snake and Columbia River to launch and sail that are increasingly further away.  In addition, Lake Coeur d' Alene is two hours away, Lake Pend Oreille is 21/2 hrs away.  Ocean sailing is five hours away in the Pacific Ocean, Puget Sound.
