Ed - SPAM is a form of food, so it is on topic.
  
As to sex, it's everywhere, although spam does 
not come immediately to mind as a sex object. 
Nevertheless, we must not judge...  'Specially
after we have been at sea for 6 months.

As to alcohol, you have a point, although perhaps 
a libation of Mt. Gay would qualify the immortal 
chopped and formed loaf as on topic.  I'll have
to try that, the next time I pop a can.
