Thank you very much for your kind praise. A day brightener just when it was needed the most.

I'm glad you liked the flower...being low to the ground, I tend to notice stuff by my feet...;^)

I actually took the D80 out first to get the shot of the boat & pots...then when scouting the angles, I noticed the weeds w/all the dew on them....so flew back to the house for the 8700. I use my 8700 for macro work as it has a wonderful lens..and an articulating LCD. I'd never get some of the shots I do if I had to look through a viewfinder or an LCD on the back of a camera. I can swing out the LCD & twist & turn it while I twist & turn the camera.

Most of what I do is 'accidental' photography...I see something I like & the challenge is how to make it look good to others.
