Hi Rod,

The bimini installation varies from year to year. Most seem to fold
forward. Ours would fold aft except that it hits the winches. We use
it a lot. Shade when sailing in light to moderate air, shade at
anchor or in the slip and some protection from rain (if it's not
blowing to bad). When leaving the boat we fold ours up, put the cover
on it and bungee it upright attached to the boom. Keeps it out of the
way and off the fiberglass. As someone remarked it can go in the
cabin if necessary though the only times we've ever done that is for
hurricane prep. For trailering we just put it down on the cabin top
and tie it down.

Don't know.

If you have an old spring lift motor mount you will love the motor
lift. If you are talking about going from the manual lift to the
electric one, I don't think it's necessary unless you have physical
issues that give you real difficulty with the manual one.

>Two batteries, good Idea?

What are you running? We run radio, depth, cabin and running lights
off of a single battery. Motor is electric start too. We have shore
power in the slip and have a charger hooked up. Works just fine for
day sails and if we are out for a single overnight. If we are going
to be out a few days, we have a power pack (one of the jump-start,
plug everything into it packs) that we take along as emergency start
for the engine. We are rarely out for more than two nights without
stopping at a marina so this works well for us.
