[Rhodes22-list] Deregulation and Da List

Ben,

I'm going to respond only because you're the new guy, and you haven't
heard this same discussion dozens of times before.

The only reason this list is still here, and the only reason you have
such a depth of knowledge available to you is because we decided long
ago that none of us would stay on this list if all we did was answer
stupid questions that had been asked and answered dozens of times
previously, that could be quickly found by "newbies" who we knew
wouldn't take the time to do so.

Most of the players who have announced they are going to "take their
ball and go home, never to return" have done so countless times in the
past. And they always return, sooner or later, because if you need to
know something about an R-22, this is the list that survives until such
time as your question comes up, and all the talent inevitably returns here.

This is Stan's list. It is about his boat. It is about his company.
And in many ways, it is about him.

With regard to repentance, or change from our time-honored practices,
why did you not cite what Stan has to say about his own list?

Bill Effros

In case you missed Stan's reply, here it is:

com on guys - grow up - and don't worry about me (I don't have to address
the gals cause they come out already grown up)

I love the List the way it was, the way it is, and the way it is going to be

so get back to y'all being yourself and enjoy.

and when not in the mood (as I often am not), hit delete until you feel good
again. after all, not everyone has the same bedside manner - nor do I
think we would really like it that way - there is something amazingly
healthy about being pissed off at the other guy - so my cousin Leon the
shrink tells me.
