[Rhodes22-list] What Should I Have Done Differently?

Elle,

You were right -- I DO have the block at the end of the boom that moves along the boom to tighten up the mainsail.? I never realized it moved.? The wheel device that sits in the block is a little worn and chipped, but it seems it will work.? Does lateral friction hold the block in place when under sail?? It seems like it would move up and down the boom pretty easily ... almost too easily, it seems, but as with everything in the R-22, I'm sure it works great.

And everyone else -- thank you, thank you for all of your advice and counsel on the different questions I asked.? I greatly appreciate it.? This has been a great example of the enormous value of this list -- the collective wisdom of so many people.? I have learned a lot from every one of you who responded.

Many thanks,

- Mark

Mark,

Check the end of the boom...it'll move out when the
main comes out, but, as I said, you have to move it
forward manually.

Keep us posted..
