Folk,

Just thought you might be interested to know that when Chernobyl "blew" there was a westerly wind.  It took the radiation cloud over to Eastern Europe and beyond.  There has since been an increase in the number of cases of thyroid cancer from persons who lived in the "west wind" areas as far over as France and, in fact, living in that area in 1986  is currently considered a medical  risk factor for thyroid cancer.
Thus, the effect of that "accident" has been shared with many others who have no idea that they were close enough to be at risk.

Where were you living/visiting at the end of April, 1986????
