[Rhodes22-list] Sta Bil has new product for outboards!

Art,

I agree. I used to dispose of the 2-3 gallons of 50:1 mix (for my 2-cycle)
left in the tank at the end of the season at the local recycler, but they no
longer accept gasoline products. It is certainly cheaper to throw it away
or use it as firepit starter than to attempt to preserve it, although that
is not "green" any longer. In addition, the marketing info appears to
indicate that marine applications require the use of a stabilizer during the
season as well. So, get out the eyedroppers for the Sta-Bil. What would we
use to mix the more concentrated products?

Let me see, 8 oz per 80 gals, 3 gals need 0.3 oz! Using Google.com, "0.3 fl
oz in teaspoon" yields "0.3 US fluid ounces = 1.8 US teaspoons" or in
metric, about 9 cc (use a syringe.) Actually, that's not half bad since I
have 10 cc syringes. 3 cc per gallon.

BTW, how long is Sta-Bil good for? Do you need a stabilizer for Sta-Bil?
It will take me years to go through the 8oz bottle.
