[Rhodes22-list] Asteroids! April 13, 2036 could be a very bad day for Earth

Mike,

Every year at Oshkosh Garmin comes out with a new unit. I'm figuring the
496 will go down another $200 in price this year. The attraction to it is I
can remove it from the airplane to drive home, then go to the lake and pop
it in the sailboat (like I get lost on the Tennessee River). I haven't even
riddled all the possibilities of my Garmin 250XL much less the 530W. Oil at
$140 a barrel is accelerating the demise of my beloved DC-10 and I'm being
dragged, kicking and screaming, into the digital age - for now the Bus, but
maybe the 777 depending if I can stretch my 90 minute brain and 2 hour ass
into a 16 hour mission to China. Tell you what, lets have a fly-off with
your Mooney against my 1948 Bo in search of the $100 cheeseburger (well,
$200 at today's fuel prices) and I'm betting I'll be there just as you're
having your first sip of Coke. Give me a whiskey compass instead of a GPS
and I'll be there before you're inserting the straw!
