Kris:

If you really have been lurking for a year on this forum you have missed
important information. For example, Captain Rummy used to sail around Lake
Hartwell giving instructions and demonstrations of the finer ways to sail a
Rhodes 22. But he is getting side tracked with stinkpots and death
contraptions [jet skis].

Why is this occurring, because he claims to be cleaning and fixing his sail
boat? Call his bluff and drag your boat over to his recently acquired
pompous lake front estate. He even has space at his dock for something
other than the aforementioned killing machines. Get real and good Rhodes
instruction for a paltry bottle of Mount Gay Rum.

Now if you want to sail a quite lake, consider Lake Russell. It is on the
Georgia and South Carolina line. The Corp of Engineers does not allow
private docks on this lake and it has a wide buffer to private land. See:
http://www.sas.usace.army.mil/lakes/russell/

On the South Carolina side there is a state park with small marina where you
can tie up at a reasonable price. There is a boat ramp just across the cove
from the marina. See:
http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/park-finder/state-park/1652/things-to-do.aspx

Lurking for a year, you have got to be kidding.
