Lou,

1.  Congratulations.

2.  Give up the technical work and move to Edenton and rebuild old boats for
Stan.  You guys should get along on politics.

3.  With what was done to that boat, the rebuilt boat may outlive the
rebuilder.  Therefore, you need to get a lot of time in sailing it.  Why not
cruise to Edenton, NC.  But wait till after Hurricane season.  Repeat Stan's
famous trip by sailing around Manhattan.  

4.  Good sailing and God's speed.

Addendum:  "Look astern when coasting in well-buoyed waters, look astern
often, both to check on course being made good and to familiarize with the
appearance of the buoyage from a different angle. You may have to return by
that route some day. Look astern as often as you look ahead when on watch.
