Ed, do you think taking my tax dollars and using them to underwrite a
war and continue the policies that undermined our currnency isn't
somehow taking property from one group and paying for their selected
"programs."  Has this not already reduced our standard of living?
It's not about more taxes, it's about priorities.  My point on a
sustained path wasn't meant to focus on the environment (though I'm
glad it is a focus), but on the need to fix the economic fundamentals
and get our foreign policy back onto a better course.  I'm not
interested in refighting the cold war... it's a new century.
