Mark,
Are you sure you want all that hot air corked into his body. There's no
telling how far the body parts would fly once it reaches critical mass.

Ed,

As the guy who had the temerity to actually say nice things about the other
members of the forum and who appreciates whatever topics people want to write
about, I have to tell you, Ed, that you can put a cork in your chair and sit
on it.

Chet,

There are many members on this forum. I used to post information on
utilizing this forum. I still post educational materials relevant to
various subjects.

I have received several ‘Back Channel’ communications regarding my post.
What is a back channel communication? It is where a list member
communicates directly with a poster without posting to the entire list.
That sort of communications defeats the purpose of the forum and often
reduces the number of relevant replies to post. For example a newbie, Sara
O., posted to the list. She communicated with the person who replied but
did not tell the rest of the list. So the result was she left Mike W in the
‘fog’.

We have at least one member of this forum who gets his ego thrills by
communicating back channel. But do you think that he post helpful resposes
to you inquiries to the List?

There are several list members in Ohio. In fact one member posted just
before your original post, but did not respond. One way to get relevant
responses is to be very specific in the ‘Subject’ line and to change the
‘Subject ‘ when responding to post.

One member used the thread with a reply, “like all the non-sailing topics
... even though I don't read much of it, it lets me know that the gang is
all here and they're checking their email ... so when I DO have a sailing
question, I know someone (actually, a lot of folks) will be around to answer
it.” However, that responder who evidentially likes answers to his
questions, offered you little. So I will sit here and see if he offers you
assists and knowledge.

Our sailing season is longer here in South Carolina. In fact we sail all
year long. Maybe the best answer is for you to come on South. Make an
appointment with Captain Rummy. He has his own dock on Lake Hartwell now.
Unfortunately, it is so far 'up the creek' that it will take him an hour
just to get to the sailing waters. You will have to come down and see the
situation. He does take ‘Northerners’ for sails, just see the attached

Welcome to the Rhodes List..., I hope you are not another of those
'Liberals'.
