Herb,

I think that you are trying to make the following argument:

If a statement about someone else (not a list member) offends you due to 
your beliefs, that makes the statement inconsiderate (of you) and should 
therefore be treated the same as an insult directed at a list member.

Herb, you never cease to amaze me.  I would have expected that kind of 
reasoning from some others but not you.  Sorry, maybe I still misunderstand 
you.
