  Yes, that appears to be true....but someone has to be first to stop....and there's a lot to be said for the reasoned individual who sees the need to put an end to the discussion.  
   
  It's hard....everyone wants to have the last word...(don't I know...;^)

In this case, the discussion never hit the "information" point, and 
while I agree that I won't likely change anyone's mind about the main 
topic (c'mon, few, if any, of these discussions ever do that), I would 
like to think that there might be at least one or two folks out there 
that read the discussions and think "Maybe calling ANYONE I don't know a 
'dumb son of a bitch" is a bit over the line".
