Brad -

At one point in my life, when I was campaigning in
East Coast enduros, I had a Ford A100 van.  I painted
it gloss white.  Even without insulation, it was
comfortable in the summer sun.  Finally added
insulation to prevent condensation, not overheating.

I think Rummy has a point.

As to the trumpet vines, they would not do well in
that environment, but would happily climb up chicken
wire hanging on the sides of the "building".

Might want to put a black stack in the middle of the
roof, about 2' in diameter and 10'+ tall - covered and
with screenwire at the top, of course.  It would
convect with a surprising amount of flow volume.  Sort
of a tee-pee effect.  Worked for the plains indians...
