Lou,

You had to use the word fair, even capitalized it!  Right now, roughly
50% of the population pays all the taxes and 50% are net tax
recipients.  Over half of all US Federal Income Tax is paid by the top
5% (and we're not talking Bill Gates here - doctors, small
businessmen, dual-income couples). So what is your idea of fair?

Do you guys ever read any economics textbooks that weren't inspired by
Marx and Engels?
