Mary Lou,

I'll make you a proposal you can't refuse.

You & Fred come down here for a day or two during the week & help me with my sailing skill (singular on purpose!), bring your camera,  & I'll pass on whatever photographic stuff I can. As Mike said, it's not the equipment. You just need to know how to make it do what you want. One of the photo mags a few years ago gave consumer point & shoot digitals to noted photogs & had them go out & shoot to prove that it is 'eye' and camera control that make the shot.

In fact, Fred can sail & we can shoot...!

If you don't go to the Annapolis boat show during the weekend of Oct 9-12, come to Lancaster Va to the Turkey Shoot Hospice Regatta ;you'll get some fabulous boat & sailing shots...heck...bring the boat & enter the race & all the festivities! You can stay here or aboard at the marina.
