[Rhodes22-list] Stan on bridge to nowhere...

Stan:

During her campaign for governor she agreed with the bridge to nowhere.
After she got in office the revised price tag to the State of Alaska was 2.5
times the orginal estimate. She publically said that the changed price was
too much and while she still said that the people on the island needed
something, she could no longer endorse spending that much of the state's
money. A new ferry would have to do.

Read that the price tag for the project increased beyond the original price
and that demanded a recalulation of prior endorsement. At the new price she
could no longer endorse it.

Assume you gave someone a quote two weeks ago on new Rhodes 22 for $40,000
and an you just sent them a change in the quote to $100,000. What do you
expect that their response would be?

What the liberal media has left out of the discussions is the project's
change in price.

Her 'intent' at the new price was to stop the project before it started.

You guys need to get more facts before having a discussion on half truths.
