Chris, one suggestion...  before you remove the hand rails, be sure
you have a good silicone seal where the chain plates poke through the
cabin top.  There is a small opening which can let water in, which
then escapes through the inside holes for the hand rail attachment.  I
thought I had the same problem and a five minute fix with silicone
caulk did the trick.
