Hi Michael,
I did have fresh gas!!!!!  In fact, I went so far as to empty the tank 
completely of last year's brew and went to Conoco where they advertise 
100% gasoline.
Last fall when I put things away, I ran the motor till it quit to empty 
the old gas out of the carb.  The only old gas left was that in the hose 
between the tank and the motor.
It may be a block in the airways but a visual inspection does not show 
anything.
