[Rhodes22-list] water source experiment

I'm going to propose an experiment to determine the source of water in 
the lazarette.
The next three days are forecast to be dry and hot.  No rain.  There is 
currently no water in the cockpit.
I will take a gallon of water that I will dye with food coloring and 
pour it into the bilge under the cabin sole at the center board.
If I take up water from the lazarette that is the same color then can we 
agree on the source?
Does anyone see a flaw or problem with this experiment?
